PECR Policy (Cookies and Electronic Communications)
We only set non-essential cookies, and only send marketing emails or texts, with your consent, as the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) require. This page explains what we use and how to change your choices.
Cookies we use
| Type | What it does | Consent needed |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Runs the basket, checkout, login, security and your age confirmation | No |
| Preferences | Remembers settings such as currency and recently viewed items | Yes |
| Analytics | Shows us how the site is used, such as which pages are visited | Yes |
| Marketing | Measures and personalises ads, such as social media and search ad tags | Yes |
When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept all, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose by type. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and nothing non-essential runs until you choose.
Changing your choices
- Clear the cookies for our site and the banner will appear again so you can choose again.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop the basket or checkout working.
Emails and texts
We send marketing emails and SMS only to people who opted in, or to existing customers about similar products with a clear opt-out in every message. Full details are in our Direct Marketing Policy.
Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing sales@vapeloungeonline.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
