How to Change and Refill a Hayati Pro Max Plus Pod

Hayati Pro Max Plus replacement pod with 10ml auto-refill container
Quick answerYou can't refill a Hayati Pro Max Plus pod by hand: each 2ml pod tops itself up from a built-in 10ml container, and when that runs out you click in a new pod. Changing a pod takes about ten seconds, and most "not working" problems come from a pod not pushed fully in or a flat battery.

You do not need to refill a Hayati Pro Max Plus pod by hand. Each pod comes with a 10ml container that tops up the 2ml pod automatically as you vape. When the liquid runs out, you change the whole pod, which takes about ten seconds. This guide covers the Hayati Pro Max refill process step by step, how to tell when a pod is empty, and what to check if a new pod won't fire.

Can you refill a Hayati Pro Max Plus?

Yes and no. The device is designed so that you never fill anything yourself:

  • The battery is rechargeable. You keep it and charge it over USB-C.
  • The pod refills itself. Each Hayati Pro Max Plus pod is a 2ml prefilled pod joined to a 10ml container. As you vape, liquid flows from the container into the pod, so the pod stays topped up until the container is empty.
  • When it's empty, you replace the pod. There is no fill port, and the pod is not built to be opened.

So when people search for a "Hayati Pro Max refill", what they almost always need is a new pod. That is also why the device is legal in the UK: it is rechargeable, the pods are replaceable, and each pod holds 2ml, the legal limit for nicotine pods.

How to change a Hayati Pro Max Plus pod in 5 steps

  1. Check it's the right pod. Hayati Pro Max Plus pods (sometimes called Hayati 6K pods) only fit the Hayati Pro Max Plus 6000 battery. Hayati 25K pods will not fit.
  2. Pull out the empty pod. Grip the pod at the top of the device and pull it straight up and out of the battery. Don't twist it.
  3. Unwrap the new pod. Remove any packaging and any rubber or silicone stopper from the mouthpiece and the bottom contacts.
  4. Click the new pod in. Line it up and push it straight down until it clicks and sits flush with the battery.
  5. Let it settle. Take a few gentle puffs before vaping normally. This lets the coil soak and avoids a dry first hit.

That's it. The new pod comes full, and its 10ml container starts topping it up straight away.

Tip: keep one spare pod with you, especially if you vape a lot. Store spares upright, at room temperature and out of direct sunlight, and keep them out of reach of children and pets.

How do you know the pod is empty?

A few signs tell you it's time for a new pod:

  • The flavour fades or turns slightly harsh or burnt.
  • Less vapour comes through, even when the battery is charged.
  • The container looks empty when you hold the pod up to the light, on pods where you can see through it.

Keep vaping a pod once it tastes burnt and you'll just get more of the same, because the coil has nothing left to soak. Swap it rather than pushing on. With typical use, a pod lasts somewhere between 5 and 10 days, though this varies a lot with how much you vape. The manufacturer rates each pod for up to 6,000 puffs.

New pod not working? 6 things to check

  1. Is the pod pushed fully in? If it isn't sitting flush, the contacts don't meet. Take it out and click it back in firmly.
  2. Did you remove all the packaging? A small stopper left on the bottom of the pod will stop it connecting.
  3. Is the battery charged? Plug it into a USB-C cable and check the battery light. Most problems after a pod change turn out to be a flat battery.
  4. Are the contacts clean? Liquid or condensation on the metal contacts can stop the device firing. Wipe the top of the battery and the bottom of the pod with a dry tissue.
  5. Is it the right pod? Only Hayati Pro Max Plus pods fit this battery. Pods for other devices, even other Hayati models, won't work.
  6. Are you drawing too hard? The device is draw-activated. A very hard pull can sometimes pull liquid into the mouthpiece. Use slow, gentle draws.

If none of these help, try a different pod. If a second pod doesn't work either, the battery may be the problem and you may need a new Hayati Pro Max Plus 6000 kit. When a battery reaches the end of its life, take it to a vape shop take-back point or a council recycling centre, never the household bin.

Want to refill it yourself? Use a refillable kit

If you'd rather fill your own pod from a bottle, the Pro Max Plus isn't the device for that. A refillable pod kit is. You can keep the same flavours: most Hayati Pro Max flavours also come as Hayati Pro Max Salts, 10ml nic salt e-liquids in 10mg or 20mg.

FAQs

Can I refill a Hayati Pro Max Plus pod with my own liquid?

No. The pod has no fill port and isn't designed to be opened. It refills itself from its own 10ml container, and when that runs out you fit a new Hayati Pro Max Plus pod. For refilling with your own liquid, use a refillable pod kit with Hayati Pro Max Salts.

How do I know when my Hayati Pro Max Plus pod is empty?

The flavour fades or tastes burnt and you get less vapour, even with a charged battery. You may also be able to see that the 10ml container is empty. That's the time to change the pod.

Why is my new Hayati Pro Max Plus pod not working?

Usually the pod isn't pushed fully in, a piece of packaging is still on the bottom, or the battery needs charging. Reseat the pod, check for stoppers, wipe the contacts and charge the battery. If it still won't fire, try another pod.
